SIUH’s Environmental Services (EVS) teams have been on the frontlines since the first coronavirus patient. A few weeks ago, as the hospital played “Here Comes the Sun” for the last COVID-19 patients in the Heart Tower, the EVS team used PurpleSun’s ultraviolet light technology to help decontaminate the critical care units to make them coronavirus-free as SIUH began treating critically ill patients and prepares to resume elected procedures.
